DAILY TIMES-MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA WEDNESDAY, MAY 20, 1959 MRS. HODGES DIED AT 93 Mary E. "Manie" Hodges, 1312 Eighteenth street, passed away at 7:35 a.m. today at the Kinder Nursing Home, Sixth and J streets, where she had been since December 23. She was 93. Mrs. Hodges had been ill for six months. She was born March 20, 1866, to Elias and Emily Brown Sitler. She married Wesley Hodges, who preceded her in death on April 14, 1952. Survivors include four nieces--Mrs. Clay Williams of Bedford, Mrs. Helen Kern of Des Moines, Iowa, Mrs. Alice Frezie of Indianola, Iowa, and Mrs. Ethel Lyle of Tripton, Iowa. Several cousins also survive. The deceased was a member of the Erie Methodist Church, where funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1:30 p.m. Officiating will be the church pastor Rev. Lester Vanest and burial will follow in the Erie Cemetery. Friends may call after noon Thursday at the Day & Carter Mortuary, which is in charge of arrangements.
