TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA THURSDAY, SEPT. 6, 1979 VIOLET IRENE NELSON Violet Irene Nelson, 55, R. 1, French Lick, died at 11:08 a.m. Wednesday at the University Hospital, Indianapolis. Born Jan. 29, 1924, in Martin County to Raymond R. and Lillie Jane Daugherty Jones, she married Dennis Nelson March 8, 1946, and he survives. Surviving besides the husband are two sons, Gerald Leon Nelson and Timothy Allen Nelson, both of R. 1, French Lick; one daughter, Mrs. Gerald Montgomery, R. 2, Shoals; one brother, Verlin Lee Jones, R. 1, French Lick; two sisters, Mrs. Eugene Nelson, R. 2, West Baden, and Mrs. Dave Hopper, Borden, Ind.; six grandchildren. She was a member of the Crystal Community Church where her husband is the pastor. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Crystal Community Church, R. 2, Dubois, with the Rev. Herman Hogue officiating. Burial will be in Highland Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call after 6:30 p.m. Friday at Brosmer-Drabing Funeral Home, French Lick. The body will be taken to the church at 12:30 p.m. Sunday to lie in state until time of services.
