DAILY TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA MONDAY SEPTEMBER 27, 1954 Paul Giles Dies At Hospital In Indianapolis Paul Giles, resident of Bedford Heights and wel1 known as a former taxicab company operator here, died this morning at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Mr. Giles purchased the 400 Cab Company from Morris Denny in April of 1951 and operated it until ill health forced him to retire from the business about a year ago. Prior to his association with the taxicab business, Mr. Giles was a salesman. The body will be returned to Bedford for funeral services and burial and complete details and funeral arrangements will be announced tomorrow by the Day & Carter Mortuary. DAILY TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 1954 Paul Giles Rites Set Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. tomorrow at the Elmwood Chapel of the Day and Carter Mortuary for Paul Giles, Bedford Heights, who died yesterday morning at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Paul Giles had been ill one year, and was admitted to the Indianapolis hospital on June 22 of this year. Ill health forced Mr. Giles to retire from operation of the 400 Taxicab Company here. Before entering the taxi business he was western representative for the Rilling Manufacturing Company of New York City. Mr. Giles was a native of this county, born June 21, 1913 to Mark and Goldie Holmes Giles. He was married to Myrtle Armstrong April 1, 1945. His wife survives. Also, surviving are one sister, Mrs. T. H. Owens Jr.; of R. R. 1, Bedford the stepmother, Mrs. Mark Giles; and a nephew Jimmy Paul Owens of R. R. 1. Mr. Giles was a member of the First Baptist Church. The services will be conducted by Dr. J. W. Nivan and Rev. H. Gordon. Burial will be at Springville Christian Cemetery. Friends may call at the Day and Carter Mortuary after 6:00 p.m. this evening.
