DAILY TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA MONDAY, JANUARY 18, 1982 Private family services have been held in Crown Hill Mausoleum at Indianapolis for Russell R. Curtis, 71, an engineer and inventor and a former Bedford businessman. Mr. Curtis died Friday at his home in Indianapolis. While living in Bedford Mr. Curtis was president and general manager of Curtis Automotive Devices. He was also founder and chairman of the boards of Curtis Dyna Products Corp. and Cannel Chemical Corp. at Westfield Ind. Mr. Curtis had obtained over 100 patents on products, including aircraft fuel booster pumps; hydraulic pumps, vacuum pumps, pulse jet fuel systems and valves related to fuel, hydraulic and vacuum systems. A native of Portland, Oregon, he was a member of the Meridian Hills Country Club and the Columbia Club. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Cincinnati, and as a member of Tau Beta Pi honorary engineering fraternity. Surviving is the wife, Becky E. Curtis. Arrangements were under the direction of Flanner & Buchanan Mortuary.
