DAILY TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA MONDAY, JANUARY 18, 1982 Winfred D. McCain, 68, R. 15, died at 9:50 a.m. Sunday at his residence. He had been ill for two months. Ha was born Dec. 15, 1913, In Daviess County, to Samuel and Margaret (Kirk) McCain. He was married to Mary Lucile Kern on Dec. 22, 1934, and she survives. He was a retired plumber and steamfitter in the Lawrence County area and a member of the Plumbers & Steamfitters Union Local 136. Surviving with the wife are two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Marilyn) Ramey, R. 15, and Mrs. Jim (Saundra) Polk, of Bedford; three brothers, Ross, Roy and Harley McCain, all of Bedford; and three sisters, Mamie Neal, Mrs. Robert (Thelma) Pace and Mrs. Udell (Grace) Sylvester, all of Bloomington; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harry. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary with the Rev. Richard Chase officiating. Burial will be in the White River Baptist Cemetery in Buddha. Friends may call at the mortuary after 4 p.m. today.
