TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA THURSDAY, JANUARY 6, 1994 OOLITIC - Leonard F. Strunk, 71, 1121 Lafayette St., Oolitic, died at 1:12 p.m. Wednesday at Mitchell Manor Nursing Home following a lengthy Illness. Born in Tateville, Ky., he was the son of T. Fount and Mary Emma (Hardwick) Strunk. He married Ovalean Grubbs June 21, 1946 and she survives. He had worked in ordinance and demolition at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane and was a WWII Army veteran. He was of Baptist faith. Surviving with the wife are two Sons: Leonard Russell Strunk of Bedford and Michael Nolan Strunk of Greene County; five sisters: Mrs. Annie Conner of Springville, Mrs. Clara Thompson, Mrs. Nancy Stout and Mrs. Betty Baugh, all of Bedford and Mrs. Winnie VanSant of Mooresville; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Luther Strunk, Clarence Strunk and Orville Strunk; and one sister, Bessie M. Strunk. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Day & Caner Mortuary, Bedford, with the Rev. Claude Casada officiating. Burial will be in Springville Christian Cemetery, with graveside military rites accorded by American Legion Gillen Post 33 of Bedford. Friends may call from 2-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
