TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA WED., SEPT. 5, 1979 FRANK G. OWINGS Frank G. Owings, 77, 8720 Gore Rd., Bloomington, died Tuesday at Bloomington Hospital. Born June 16, 1902, in Indiana to Thomas and Amanda Grubb Owings, he was a retired quarryworker of the Reed Quarries in Bloomington and a member of the Baptist faith. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Peggy Hearth and Mrs. Gwendolyn Prince, both of Springville; two sons, Roger Owings and Elmer R. (Ted) Owings, both of Bloomington; three sisters, Edna Bartlett and Alice Walters, both of Bloomington, and Anna Thomas of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Opal Owings, in 1940, and his second wife, Edna Owings in 1976; by one son, Robert, and one daughter, Freeda Owings, one grandson, one sister, and two brothers. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Allen Funeral Home, Bloomington, with the Rev. Ralph Chandler officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Ebal Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 until 9 p.m. today and from 2 until 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
