BEDFORD WEEKLY MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, SEPT. 14, 1900 Jacob Renneker, aged eleven years, and Ike Tranter, aged fourteen years, were out hunting Wednesday and returned to the residence of young Renneker's father, William Renneker, in Columbia township, Martin county, about 5 o'clock in the evening. While out in the yard they were playfully scuffling over the possession of a shot gun which was discharged and young Renneker received the full charge in his breast, making a fearful wound and penetrating the left lung. The little victim of the deadly shotgun lingered in great agony until about 10 o'clock that night when death relieved him from all pain.
