TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA AUGUST 1, 1983 Roland T. Emery, 59, Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Bedford and Indianapolis, died Saturday in Phoenix. He was born Sept. 17, 1923, in Bedford, to Noah Aton and Norma Thomas Emery He married Mae Abel, who survives. He was a member of the Ernie Pyle VFW, Indianapolis, the American Legion and was a paratrooper in World War II. Surviving with the wife are two sons Danny and Jimmy Emery, both, Indianapolis; one daughter, Shirley Ramsey, of Wisconsin; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. George (Peggy) Richter, Indianapolis, and Mrs. Alvey (Nadine) Scofield, Bedford and one brother Lawrence (Sonny) Thomas, Indianapolis. Services and burial will be in Phoenix.
