BEDFORD DAILY TIMES BEDFORD, INDIANA MONDAY, JULY 10, 1933 CARINOMA IS CAUSE OF DEATH Rites For Mrs. Theodore Davis, To Occur Tuesday Forenoon From Popcorn Church Mrs. Lizzie Jane McConnell Davis, wife of Theodore Davis, who has been bedfast for the past two months, suffering from carcinoma, succumbed Sunday night at 9 o'clock at her home, three miles north of Springville. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday forenoon at 10 o'clock from the Popcorn Christian Church with the Rev. Otto Skinner officiating, assisted by the Rev. T. G. Godwin. Burial will be made in the Lowder Cemetery. Mrs. Davis was born on July 28, 1863, in Noble county, Ohio to Fletcher and Lucinda Downey McConnell and lacked but nineteen days of being seventy years old. She was married on November 24, 1880 in Monroe County, Indiana to Mr. Davis who survives her. She was a member of the Springville Methodist Episcopal Church. Besides the husband she is survived by four sons, Fletcher of Bloomfield; Ernest at home; Dwight of Springville; Downey of Bloomington; six daughters, Mrs. Charles Zike, of Springville; Mrs. Ernest Nellinger of Smithville; Mrs. Pat Hudson of Owensburg; Mrs. Kent Rush of Bedford; Mrs. Allen Hert of Oolitic; and Mrs. Raymond Reynolds of Springville; three brothers, M. M. McConnell of Stanford, Ind.; V. H. McConnell of Bloomington and Alva McConnell, Lawrence County, and twenty-five grandchildren.
