TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA JUNE 14, 1984 Wilbur Evans, 307 Third St., Oolitic, died at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at Hospitality House in Bedford. He had been ill one year. He was born March 19, 1908 in Lawrence County, to Ovel and Carrie Armstrong Evans. He married Margie Jean Duncan Nov. 21, 1940, and she died Jan. 2, 1976. He was a retired farmer and a member of Springville Christian Church. Survivors include three sons, Walter, Robert and Roger, all of Springville; seven daughters, Mrs. Lorrenzo (Jean) Howard, Springville, Mrs. Paul (Peggy Ann) Nikirk, Oolitic, Mrs. Lee (Mary Frances) Wade Oolitic, Mrs. Dustin (Anna Grace) Tolliver, Springville, Mrs. James (Sharon) Jackson, Owensburg, Mrs. Michael (Nancy) Barnes, Oakdale, Calif., and Mrs. Gregory (Janie) Bernard, Linton; 35 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was the last of his family. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Day & Carter Mortuary, the Rev. Ken Ransom officiating, Burial will be in Springville Methodist Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after noon today.
