TIMES MAIL, BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 1983 Bub Johnson, 78, 2020 Plaza Dr., Bedford, died at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Bloomington Hospital. He had been ill since May. He was born Aug. 14, 1905 in Huron, to Charles and Catherine McDermed Johnson. He married Thelma Allen Nov. 16, 1925, and she survives. Also surviving is a half-brother, Ed Tarr, of Bedford. He was preceded in death by two children in infancy and two brothers, Elmer and Ray. He was a retired cook at Bedford Junior High and Parkview schools, a member of the First Baptist Church of Bedford, and the Fraternal Order of Police. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Day & Carter Mortuary, Dr. Milan Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 to9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. Sunday until the service time.
