DAILY TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA MONDAY, JANUARY 18, 1982 Billy Sims, 54, R. 1, Shoals, died at 11:45 p.m. Sunday at his residence. He had been ill for three weeks. He was born June 14, 1927, in Martin County, to Curtis and Ella (Richey) Sims, who survive at R. 1, Shoals. He was married to Wahneta R. Bruner March 22, 1959, and she survives. Also surviving are one son, William Charles (Billy) Sims, at home; three brothers, Hiram Sims, Loogootee, Jim Sims, Indianapolis, and Jerry Sims, R. 1, Shoals; four sisters, Mrs. Wallace (Roma) Sims, Indianapolis, Mrs. John (Jo Ann) Walter, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Miss Carolyn Sue Sims, Indianapolis, and Mrs. David (Wanda) Fischer, Springfield, Va. He was preceded in death by one brother. He was a member of the Dover Hill Methodist Church. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Hindostan United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Wisor officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery Friends may call at the Queen-Lee-Funeral Home in Shoals after 2 p.m. Tuesday. The body will be taken to the church at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday to lie in state until the time of service.
