    3. BEDFORD WEEKLY MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, APRIL 27, 1900 Seymour, Ind., April 20. – The charred remains of Engineer George Crane and Fireman Frank Reynolds, who went down in the wreck at Cochran, were found this afternoon in an unrecognizable condition lying at the bottom of the creek under a pile of burning timbers. The remains of George Crane were brought here at 11 o'clock tonight and taken to his home. He was thirty-two years old and left a widow, formerly Miss Berdie Kelso, and two small children. He was raised at Medora and secured a position on the road as fireman, and was promoted to engineer over a year ago. Fireman Reynolds married Miss Anna Wesner, of Medora, last October. He was twenty-three years old, and his body will be taken to Sparksville for interment. The wrecked train was composed of thirty-three cars, of which twenty were loaded with live stock, not one of which was injured. The cars were destroyed by the fire, two of which were loaded with whiskey, one with eggs, one with fresh beef, one with poultry, one with smoked meats and the others with general merchandise. It was the most costly wreck that has occurred on the road for many years.
