TIMES MAIL, BEDFORD, INDIANA TUESDAY, JUNE 19, 1990 Lawrence W. "Larry" Colvin, 78, 2017 Norton Ln., a resident of Carmel from 1950 to 1978, died at 7:50 a.m. Monday at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born June 2, 1912, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Riley and May (Voorhies) Colvin. He married Anna Bell Peek April 5, 1934, and she died Aug. 19, 1942. He married Helen Sigmond Nov. 28, 1954, and she died Jan. 14, 1986. He was a retired self-employed paint contractor in Carmel and of Protestant faith. He was a World War II Army veteran and received the Bronze Star. Surviving are one daughter: Mrs. Marcille Kersey, Westfield; two grandchildren; one great- grandchild; one brother Doyle Colvin, Bedford, and one sister Mrs. Velma Parrish, Bedford. He was preceded in death by one daughter in Infancy, six sisters and two brothers. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Day & Carter Mortuary, the Rev. Jim McDowell officiating. Burial will be in Springville Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 3 - 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the service. Graveside military rites will be accorded by members of Gillen Post 33, American Legion.
