Miller, 84, 1319 Thirteenth St., died at 11:35 p.m. at the Bedford Medical Center, where she had entered January 3. She had been in failing health for 2 1/2 years. Born on Nov. 22, 1894, in Dubois Co., Ind., to E. E. and Sophia Whittinghill Ellis, she married Marshall P. Miller on April 5, 1917, and he preceded her in death on June 16, 1958. Survivors include one son, Marvin L. Miller of Bedford; one daughter, Mrs. David (Josephine) Rariden of Bedford; four grandchildren; and five sisters, Mrs. Helen B. Kern, Mrs. Ruel (Marie) Steele and Mrs. Kate Owen, all of Bedford; Mrs. Edith Callis of Sellersburg and Mrs. Esther Griggs of Logansport. She was a member of the Methodist faith. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary with the Rev. Ralph Turner officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday. Friends are asked to consider memorials to the Bedford Medical Center.
