BEDFORD DAILY TIMES BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 1934 DEATH CLAIMS GEO ROBINSON Operation Performed Thursday At Indianapolis Proves Fatal To Springville Postmaster George Robinson, postmaster at Springville, died at 2:30 a. m. today at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis following an operation Thursday for jejunal ulcers. He had been in failing health for several years but did not become serious until three months ago. Following death the remains were, removed to the Roach Funeral home for burial preparation and will be taken to his home in Springville Saturday morning. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Springville Christian Church. Burial will follow in the Springville Cemetery. The deceased was born on October 31, 1869, at Mount Olive to Mr. and Mrs. Canaan Robinson and at the time of his death was 65 years, 10 months and 6 days old. He was married on June 9, 1897, at Springville to Mrs. Lora Cathers, who survives him. He was a member of the Springville Christian Church, Odd Fellows and Masonic Lodges. Mr. Robinson was a prominent resident of Springville and has been postmaster there for several years. Besides the widow, he is survived by one step-son, Clarence Cathers, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Dolan, Marshall, Ill.
