TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA APRIL 7, 1981 Mrs. Vernie Sullivan, 79, Box 12, Springville, Ind., died at 9:25 a.m. Monday at her residence. She had been ill for five years. Born Nov. 12, 1901, in Pulaski Co., Ky., she was the daughter of Steve and Linda Meadows Silvers. She was married to Arthur Ott Sullivan June 18, 1918 and he preceded her in death March 31, 1966. Surviving are one son, Robert Sullivan; three daughters, Mrs. Rutho (Dorothy) Voorhies, Springville, Mary Lively, Needmore and Devella Turpin, Bloomington; 10 grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and two step- great-grandchildren. Also two brothers, Frank Orville Si1vers, Stanford, Ind. and Steve Allen Silvers, Indianapolis. Preceding her in death were 10 brothers, three sisters and three sons, Hurstle, James, and Fan. Mrs. Sullivan was of the Pentecostal faith.. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the with the Rev. Wendell Phillips and Rev. Chester Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Springville Methodist Cemetery. Friends may call at any time at the residence. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Day & Carter Mortuary.
