DAILY TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, MAY 23, 1969 John Roscoe Wagner, 81, of Route 1, Springville, died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Bloomington Hospital. Death followed an illness of one year. A native of Lawrence County and retired farmer, Mr. Wagner was born Aug. 30, 1887 to Lafe and Mary Hornocker Wagner. He married Emma Ferguson on June 23, l920 and she survives. Other survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Beryl Lewis and Miss Farrell Wagner, both of Bedford, Miss Lorena Wagner of Indianapolis and Mrs. Daisy Gore of Broadlands, Ill.; two brothers, Lowell Wagner of Indianapolis and Orin Wagner of Greenfield and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Silverville Baptist Church, the Solsberry Lodge F. & A. M. and veteran of World War One. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Merla Craig officiating. Burial will be in the Springville Christian Cemetery. Friends may call at the Day & Carter Mortuary after 5 p.m. today.
