TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 1990 ORLEANS - Norman Johnson., 83, of Orleans, died Friday at West View Manor in Bedford. Born Nov. 24, 1906, in Orange County, he was the son of B.F. and Eliza (Walters) Johnson. He was a retired farmer and mechanic. He was a member of Rob Morris Masonic Lodge 282 in Campbellsburg. Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Carroll of Orleans and Esther Hawkins of Mitchell; three sons, La Rue Johnson of Mitchell, Frank Johnson of Fort Angeles, Wash., and Leon Johnson of Greensburg; one sister, Mary Whiteman of Syracuse, 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fay Stephenson, and two brothers. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the memorial chapel of the Chastain Funeral Home in Mitchell with brother Nelson Lee officiating. Burial will be at Liberty Christian Cemetery. Friends may call 3-9 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Funeral home. A memorial service will be 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home by the Rob Morris Masonic Lodge. The family has suggested that contributions be made to the Orange County Cancer Fund.
