TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA MONDAY, JULY 9, 1984 Dessie M. Smith, 91, Shoals, died at 6:40 p.m. Sunday at the Orange County Hospital in Paoli, following a lengthy illness. She was born Nov. 11, 1892 in Dubois County to Daniel V. and Ida F. Hall Shipman. She married Lester Smith on March 30, 1918, and he died June 15, 1968. Survivors include a brother: Auttie Shipman, West Baden; and two sisters: Mrs. Verna Hewitt, French Lick and Mrs. Elmer (Virginia) Fahr, Shoals. Six brothers preceded her in death. She was a member of the Shoals Church of Christ. - Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals with Bro. Ira Price officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Springs Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday
