    3. BEDFORD WEEKLY MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, MARCH 7, 1902 Monday morning, March 3, Elder W. B. Chrisler was called to attend the funeral of Sister Emma Snow, at the residence of Rice F. Snow, near the Bird School-house on the Bedford and Bryantsville road. Sister Emma had a long, lingering time of suffering with that terrible disease consumption. A large attendance of relatives and neighbors were present, all deeply affected of the loss of one so near and dear, to them. After the discourse the remains were taken to Bryantsville and deposited in a cemetery adjoining the Church of Christ, at that place. The following lines were read at the funeral: "Emma J. Blake was born October 2, 1877 and died March 1, 1902. She was married to Rice F. Snow March 8, 1894. She united with the Church of Christ in 1892. She lived a true and noble life, always ready to do her part. She thanked her husband for his kindness. She leaves a husband and one little girl, a mother, three sisters and a brother, and a host of friends to mourn her loss." NOTE: Emma J. Snow: 1877 – 1902. 1st wife of Rice F. Burial at Bryantsville Cemetery, Spice Valley Twp.
