    3. BEDFORD WEEKLY MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, MARCH 7, 1902 Abraham Branaman, a well-known farmer of the western part of Jackson county, dropped dead while feeding his stock Sunday morning. He was an uncle of Hon. W. T. Branaman, of Brownstown. ********************** ZELMA Abraham Branaman, an old and respected citizen, three miles east of here was found dead last Sunday morning. It was his custom to go to the "old place" a half mile away, to feed the sheep. On failing to return in a reasonable time, he was looked after, his remains were found in a kneeling position, with his head resting on a still, in the barn shed, where the sheep are fed. The deceased was aged within a few days of 73 years old. He was married three times, all of which preceded him to the grave. The subject of this sketch was a successful farmer and was a lover of good stock, up to a year or so ago he owned a half interest in Newton Scotts Coach Stallion, that cost them $1600. The Baptist Church will miss a good member. The people will lose an accommodating neighbor in the death of Mr. Branaman.
