Times Mail, Bedford, Indiana Thursday, January 11, 1990 Bessie Lindsey INDIANAPOLIS - Bessie Lindsey, 93, formerly of Bedford, died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. She was born July 11, 1896 in Oolitic, to John and Sarah Clendening Foddrill. She married Carl T. Lindsey and he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and member of Christian Science. Survivors include two daughters: Marjorie L. Hall of Greenwood and Lila Lou McMurtrey of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Carl R. Lindsey, two daughters: Carolyn L. Johnson and Sarah F. Foddrill; eight brothers and two sisters. Private graveside rites will be held at Green Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Frank Green officiating. Friends may call Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home.
