Born in Lawrence County, he was the son of Clyde Clifford and Dorothy (Julian) Wray. He married JoEllen Mitchell July 3, 1960 and she survives. He was employed at Central Foundry/General Motors in Bedford. He was a member of Assembly of God and U.A.W. Local 440. Surviving with the wife are his mother of Zelma; two sons: Christopher Jay Wray, at home, and Terry Wayne Wray, Bedford; five brothers: Robert Wray, Terre Haute, William (Bill) Wray, Kurtz, Ted Wray, Zelma, Ralph Wray, Danville, Ill., and Russell Wray, Columbus; three sisters: Betty Gaither, Brownstown. Connie Lewis, Bedford, and Lenore Weinhoff, Overland, Mo. His father preceded him in death. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. E.J. Bruton officiating, Burial will be In Mt. Pleasant Christian Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until the service Thursday.
