    3. Daily Times Mail, Bedford, Indiana Monday, November 17, 1947 DEATH CLAIMS MRS. LINDSEY Mrs. Florence Bertha Lindsey, mother of Carl T. Lindsey, of 1709 N street, died at 12:30 a.m. today at Dunn Memorial Hospital where she was admitted last August 2nd. She had been in failing health several years and her final illness dates from last February 19. A native of Lawrence county, she was born at Heltonville to John and Cansada Clark Ragsdale May 28, 1874. She married Alonzo Lindsey, Bedford, February 28, 1894, who preceded her in death June 28, 1940. Mrs. Lindsey was a member of the Free Methodist Church. Survivors, besides the son Carl, are four grandchildren, Carl T. Lindsey, Jr., and Mrs. Carolyn Johnson, both of Indianapolis; Mrs. Marjorie Hall, of Columbus, and Miss Lila Lu Lindsey, of Bedford; two great-grandchildren, Michael R. Johnson and Thomas Reid Hall; two sisters, Mrs. William Fletcher and Mrs. Virgil Fletcher, and a brother, Mack Ragsdale all of Hammond. A son, Clyde J. and a daughter, Mabel L. preceded her in death. The body was prepared for burial at the Sherwood & Ferguson Funeral Home and will lie in state there after noon Tuesday. Funeral services will be conducted from the Sherwood & Ferguson Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Elmer D. Riggs, pastor of the Free Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
