TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, AUGUST 2, 1974 Mamie Turpin, 68, 818 Fourteenth St., died at 8:46 p.m. yesterday at the Bedford Medical Center. She had been ill three years. Mrs. Turpin was born March 27, 1906 in Jackson County to Elisha and Amanda Arthur Fleetwood. She was married in 1922 at Heltonville to Doyle Turpin, Sr. She attended the First Assembly of God Church of Bedford. Survivors include two sons, Marshell Turpin of Chicago and Doyle Turpin, Jr., Las Vegas, Nevada; three daughters, Mrs. Carl (Mary Frances) Daugherty, Denver, Colorado, Mrs. Albert (Freeda) Ross of Culver City, California and Mrs. James (Marilyn) Hackney of Mitchell; one brother, Elbert Fleetwood of Bedford and one sister, Mrs. Ruby Combs, Franklin, Indiana. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. One son preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Ferguson Lee Funeral Home with Rev. E. J. Bruton will be in Mundell Cemetery.
