Times Mail Bedford, Indiana Friday, July 6, 1984 Alpha Axsom Alpha Ross Axsom, 81, R. 1. Norman, died yesterday in Bartholomew County Hospital in Columbus. She was born Sept 12, 1902 in Monroe County to John and Alice Clark Ross. She was a housewife. She married Cecil Franklin Axsom April 9, 1918, and he died Dec. 21. 1978 Surviving are four sons Herschel Dewey Axsom and Marvin Dean Axsom, both of Columbus. Marshall Leon Axsom, Scipio and Perry Lee Axsom, Smithville; two daughters, Mrs. Martha Carolyn Deckard, Columbus, and Mrs. Wilma Jean Kelly, R. 1, Heltonville. 23 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons and one daughter. She was a member of Hunters Creek Pentecostal Church. Services will be at 2 p m Sunday at Jones Funeral Home in Heltonville with burial in Mitchell Cemetery in Monroe County. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 pm to 9 pm. today, 12 to 9 pm. Saturday, and from 10 am to service time Sunday.
