Mary 'Mickey' Cosner Oct. 21, 1917-Sept. 1, 2001 Mary "Mickey" Cosner, 83, of Bedford died at 5 p.m. Saturday at Westview Manor Rehab and Nursing Center in Bedford, following an illness of two months. Born in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Edward and Ruby (McCaffery) Cosby. She married Leonard W. Cosner in 1941 and he preceded her in death in 1970. She was owner of Cosner's Grocery & Hardware Store in Bedford for 47 years. She was a member of ABWA; First Baptist Church of Bedford; past member of Dunn Hospital Board; Kappa Kappa Sigma Sorority; Pink Ladies; and a volunteer at Bedford Regional Medical Center. Survivors include two sons, L. Reath Cosner and David Cosner, both of Bedford; three grandsons. Mark Cosner, Jason Cosner and Clint Cosner, all of Bedford; one granddaughter, Krista Cosner of San Francisco, Calif.; two great-granddaughters, Kenna Cosner and Madelyn Cosner, both of Bedford; two brothers, Gene Cosby and Don Cosby, both of Washington; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Helen Cosby and one brother, Paul Cosby. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Bedford, with Pastor Jon Lineback officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home in Bedford. Memorial contributions may be made to the Limestone Girls Club Building Fund.
