Bedford Daily Times Mail Bedford, Indiana Saturday, March 6, 1954 A prominent 64-year-old Bedford businessman, Lew Cosner, 1609 Eighteenth street, died at 2 a.m. today at the Dunn Memorial Hospital. Mr. Cosner, owner of the Cosner Coal Company, had been ill for two weeks. The well-known Lawrence county native also owned the Fairview Farms located east of Bedford on U.S. 50. He was born here on May 30, 1889 to Lawrence and Ella Ragsdale Cosner. On September 21, 1914, he was married to Louise Reath, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Leonard W. Cosner, John (Boots) Cosner, both of Bedford, and Robert R. Cosner, Detroit, Mich., one daughter, Mrs. William Reed, Bedford; six grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Edgar Sullivan, Detroit, Mich. Funeral services have been arranged for 3 p.m. Monday and will be held at the Elmwood Chapel, Day & Carter Mortuary, with Rev. E. D. Riggs officiating.. Interment will be in the Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after Sunday noon.
