    3. TIMES MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, FEB. 23, 1990 ELMER H. STEGEMOLLER INDIANAPOLIS – Elmer H. (Penny) Stegemoller, 66, husband of Shoals native Maxine (Freeman) Stegemoller, died Tuesday at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis. He was a fuel oil delivery man for Crystal Flash and furnace repairman for Peerless Furnace, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Coast Guard in WWII, and a member of Eagle Creek Men's Golf Club, the Destroyer-Escort Sailors Association, and the national Asbestos Workers Local Union #18. He coached the Westlake Little League, and was a member of Eagledale Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Maxine; two sons: John Jeffrey Stegemoller and Phillip Paul Stegemoller; three brothers: Lee, Earl and Fred Stegemoller; two sisters: Helen Campbell and Betty Truax, and four grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Conkle Funeral Home in Indianapolis. Graveside service and burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Shoals. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Conkle-Lynhurst Chapel in Indianapolis.
