Born in Burns City, he was the son of Joseph B. and Letha (Chastain) Gee. He first married Maria McKee, and she preceded him in death Jan. 31, 1977. He married Mabel George, and she survives. He retired from PSI Energy in 1977, after 35 years as an operator-mechanic. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a member of the First Baptist Church, Sandborn Lions Club, Masonic Lodge 647 F & AM, and attended Sandborn United Methodist Church. Survivors with the wife are one son, David Gee of Sandborn; one stepdaughter, Gloria Beatty of French Lick one stepson, Jerry Bateman of Shoals; one sister, Anna Mitchell of Greenwood; four brothers: Charles Gee of Elnora, Victor Gee of Bloomington, Paul Gee of Worthington, and Glenn Gee of Evansville; three grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, five brothers, and one sister. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at ,Anderson - Poindexter Funeral Home in Sandborn with the Revs. Lawrence Tedrow and Samuel Hill officiating. Burial will be in Sandborn Cemetery. Born in Shoals, he was the son of Garald Lee and Mabel (Shaw) Ross Sr. He married Jo Ann Shipman on June 19, 1957. in Tennessee, and she survives. He was a road driver for 32 1/2 years for Yellow Freight System. He was of Christian faith, a member of Eagles Lodge 2442. Moose Lodge of Washington, Sons of the American Legion of Shoals, and former member of Teamsters Union 135. Born in Bedford, he was the son of Herschell and Minnie (Jackson) Sharpe. He first married Katherine McDonald, and she preceded him in death. He married Mary Webb on Nov. 29, 1941. in Martinsville, and she survives. He had worked in stone mills and retired from the State Highway Department. He attended Faith Mission Church, was an Army veteran of World War II and a professional wrestler in his younger days. Surviving with the wife are three daughters: Rosamond Lively Kittle of Ventura, Calif., Janna Adams and Wanda Tanksley, both of Bedford; two sons: Ralph Sharpe and Nathan Sharpe, both of Bedford; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He retired after 17 1/2 years as a laborer for U.S. Gypsum Co. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Mitchell and Bedford Eagles Lodge. Surviving with the wife are two daughters: Mrs. Harold (Rosetta) Hawkins and Mrs. Charles (Juanita) Root, both of Bedford; one son, Charles Cooper of Bedford; one brother, Robert Cooper of Bedford; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was a retired laborer and a member of Local 741 Laborers and Hod Carriers and the Trinity Pentecostal Church in Springville. Surviving with the wife, are four Sons: Robert and Estel Owens, both of Fayetteville, Wayne Owens, Springville, and Steven Owens, Bedford; three daughters: Mrs. John (Myrna) Jewell, Bedford, Mrs. Lonnie (Barbara) Jones, Springville, and Patricia Owens, at home; 19 grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren three brothers: Elberm and Vincent Owens, both of Bedford, and Willie Owens, Springville; and a sister Mrs. Luther (Sena) Strunk, Springville. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Audrey) St. Laurent, Indianapolis; Mrs. John (Opal) Thompson, Worthington, and Mrs. Wayne (Pearl) Cazee, Bloomington; one son, Arthur McDaniel, Bedford; one sister, Hetta Watkins, Solsberry; 14 grandchildren, 27 great- grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah, in 1959, and later by a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Tribby, and a brother, Howard Arthur.
