Schulz, death was from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was born June 2, 1967 in Denver, Colo., to Morris D. and Linda S. Parham Endris. He was with the U.S. Army. Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Indianapolis, and on temporary duty as a Recruiters' Aide, Bedford. He also was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Surviving with the father and mother of R. 2. Springville, are four brothers, David Endris. Kittsingen, Germany, Craig Endris, Ball State University and Luke and Ned Endris, both at home: two foster brothers Scott and Travis Terrell, at home, and the paternal grandmother, Mrs. August (Rhea Dawn) Endris, Bedford. Funeral services will be at 10 am. Wednesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Francis Eckstein officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery. She was born April 22, 1904 in Washington County to Arve and Maude McNeeley Chastain. She was a member of Walnut Grove Christian Church. She was born Dec. 21, 1908, in Jackson County to Andrew V. and Mary Ann Lucas Cockerham. On May 15, 1926, she married Willard Reynolds, and he preceded her in death. Survivors include two tons, Leo and Donald Reynolds both of Medora two daughters Mary M. Stepp, Brownstown and Doris Wheeler, Seymour one grandson Edward Wayne Price reared in the home; two brothers Henry Cockerham and Jakie Cockerham, both of R. R. Medora; one sister Goldie Baughman R. R. Medora: 25 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. One brother and seven sisters are deceased. She was a housewife and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Medora. Services will be at at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hague Funeral Home in Medora. Rev. Paul Schuth officiating. She is survived by her parents of Bedford one half brother, Nathan Moldrem, and one half-sister, Carrie Moldrem, both at home: the maternal grandmother and step-grandfather Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Peyton, Mitchell: the paternal grandmother, Doris Moldrem Orlando, Fla.; and the paternal grandfather, Lloyd Moldrem Payette, Idaho. Branaman, 76, Country Health Nursing Home, Gilford, Ill., formerly of Jackson County, died at 8 a.m. Thursday at the nursing home. He was born Aug. 25, 1911, in Jackson County, to Steven Albert and Effie Evaline Mullins Branaman. He married Emily Jane Stancombe, and she died Sept 3, 1983. He was a retired farmer. Surviving are three sons, Clifford Branaman and Gary Branaman, both of Illinois, and John Branaman, of Tennessee; two daughters, Maxie Branaman, Indianapolis, and Joy Lee Mack, Indianapolis; one brother, Ernest Branaman, Norman, and two sisters, Hazel Starnes and Nettie Starnes, both of Jackson County. He had been in failing health for two years. He was born Aug. 17, 1907, in Lawrence County, to Harry P. and. Clara McKnight Quackenbush. He married Wilma Deckard July 3, 1930, in Bedford, and she survives. He worked in carpentry and construction and was a member of Donica Church of God. Surviving with the wife are one son, Howard Quackenbush, Bedford, and two brothers; Fred Quackenbush, Bedford, and Morris Quackenbush, Tacoma, Wash. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jessie, a brother, Vernon, and his parents. He retired 12 years ago. Mr. Felknor was an Army veteran of World War I and a member of Emerson Avenue Baptist Church. Mr. East, a former resident of Norman, was a native of Lawrence County. He was born June 6, 1910, to Thomas and Lottie Terrell East. He was a retired stone worker and carpenter. He was first married to Derotha Glassgo, and secondly to Adaline Eker East, who survives. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include their daughter, Mrs. Lora Lynn Goins and son, Perry Thomas East, both of Bedford; three daughters by his first marriage, Mrs. Robert (Mary Lou) Hillenburg of Heltonville and Mrs. Bill (Betty) Short and Mrs. Elmer (Geneive) Steward, both of Ohio; two stepchildren, Richard Dale Duncan and Mrs. Malcolm (Frankie) Hilderbrand; two sisters, Mrs. Izolla Todd and Nettle Stancomb, both of R. 1, Norman; one brother, Ira East, R 1 Norman; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Carol; a sister, Salty Todd and four half- brothers, Claude, Clone, Berle and Elza; and two grand sons. Mr. East was a member of the Henderson Creek Baptist Church and the D.A.V., Cladie Bailey Chapter. TIMES MAIL BEDFORD INDIANA MONDAY, DECEMBER 13, 1954 Lottie Fowler Dies At Home. Funeral services for Mrs. Lottie East Fowler, 79, R R. 2, Norman resident, will be conducted at, 1:00 p.m. Wednesday In the Heltonville Baptist Church. Mrs. Fowler was found dead early yesterday morning. County coroner Dr. R. E. Wynne attributed the death to a heart attack, Mrs. Fowler had been in failing health for several years. A son, Elza Hawkins, who made his home with Mrs. Fowler since the death of her husband, discovered her at about 7:00 am, Sunday. Hawkins said he heard a noise which awakened him, and he ran into an adjoining room where he found his mother dead on the floor near a heating stove. It Is believed that Mrs. Fowler died suddenly and collapsed on the floor at about 6:30 a.m. yesterday. Mrs. Fowler was born May 1, 1875 to John and Emma Thurman Terrell. A native of Lawrence County, Mrs. Fowler was first married to Otis Hawkins on March 8, 1891. He died in 1907. Later she married Thomas East on July 29, 1909. Mr. East died December 3, 1930. Her third husband, Eli Fowler, whom she married December 3, 1932, preceded her in death In 1943. Surviving children of the first marriage are a son, Elza, a daughter, Mrs. Izolla Todd, both of R.R. 2, Norman. Children of the second marriage are Perry East of Bedford, surviving, and Mrs. Sallie Lantz, who died June 18, 1954. Stepchildren of this marriage are Ira East, R.R. 1, Norman; Claude East of Illinois; Nettie Stancombe, R. R. 2, Norman; and Burl East, a step-son who preceded her in death. Mrs. Fowler was the sister of Marshall Terrell of Bedford, Dee Terrell of Norman and Mrs. Lizzie Gardner of Bedford. Also surviving are twenty - three grandchildren, twenty five step-grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and sixteen step- great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the residence, where the body will lie in state, Officiating at the Wednesday services in Heltonville will be Rev. Floyd Long, pastor of the Henderson Creek Baptist Church of which Mrs. Fowler was a member. He will be assisted by Rev. James Stevens, pastor of the Heltonville church. The Jones Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements; Burial will be in Gilgal Cemetery, one mile north of Heltonville.

Born Dec. 15, 1923, in Heltonville, he was the son of Melburn and Esta (Sowders) Bagwell. He was a retired employee of Crulo Trucking Co. He was married to Glodenah Smith in 1948 and she survives. One brother and one sister preceded him in death. He attended the Grace United Methodist Church; was a veteran of World War II and a member of Teamsters Local 135. TIMES MAIL BEDFORD INDIANA MONDAY, JUNE 23, 1947 Mrs. Amanda Ella Fleetwood Passes Mrs. Amanda Ella Fleetwood, wife of George Fleetwood, died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday at the family residence, 1505 Sixth street, following an illness of fourteen months. The remains were prepared for burial at the Day & Carter Mortuary and will lie in state there after 3:00 p.m. today. Funeral services will be conducted from the Elmwood Chapel at 2:30 p.m.. Tuesday with the Rev. Melvin Miller, pastor of the First Church of God, which she attended, officiating, Burial will be made in Cresthaven Memorial Park. A native of Jackson county, Mrs. Fleetwood was the daughter of Durm and Rebecca Clark Bagwell and was born September 22, 1879. Her marriage with George Fleetwood occurred August 29, 1898. Survivors, besides the husband; are three sons, Gareld and James L. Fleetwood, both at home, and Cecil, residing on the Heltonville road; two half-brothers, John Mitchell, of New Castle, and Delbert.

William S. Sowder March 14, 1830 - September 20, 1908 OLD SOLDIER SUDDENLY STRICKEN WILLIAM S. SOWDER ANSWERS TAPS William S. Sowder, aged 72 years and a pioneer resident of Lawrence County, died suddenly Sunday afternoon of heart disease at his home in Bartlettsville. Mr. Sowder, who was an old soldier and a well known and respected citizen of the county had, since the death of his wife a few years ago, been living with Mr. And Mrs. John Meadows on the old home place. He had been in failing health for some time, and Sunday afternoon complained of pains in his left arm. Mrs. Meadows rubbed the arm with some liniment and left the house for a few minutes. When she returned later she discovered Mr. Sowder lying lifeless upon the floor of his room. Deceased was the father of former County Commissioner J. M. Sowder, also Curtis and John E. Sowder, Mrs. Peter Hawkins and Mrs. William Chambers, the latter of Oden. All of the named children survive their father, who will be buried under the auspicies of the G.A.R. Hawkins September 9, 1855 - May 7, 1914 The funeral of Peter Hawkins of Norman Station, who died suddenly Thursday, was conducted from the Church of Christ Saturday. The large crowd and the melancholy attitude of his acquaintances will indicate the esteem in which he was held here. Mr. Hawkins was born and raised in this community and had led an exemplary life. Rev. Williams in his funeral discourse well portrayed the family life from early pioneer days. He is survived by a wife, Mrs. Mary Mikels Hawkins, six children: James of Walnut, Ind.; John of Bartlettsville; Hovey, of Bedford; Mary, of Bartlettsville; Gertrude, of Fort Wayne; and Mrs. Noble Ross, of Heltonville; Three brothers, Abraham, William, and Polk and two sisters, Mrs. Sabrey McPike, and Mrs. Nancy Meadows.
