There were 10 children in his father's family, only 1 now remains, Wesley Armstrong, 9 having joined the silent majority. Brother Abner was married to Jeanette Boone March 23, 1852. To this happy union were born 5 children, Alvin, Walter, Daniel, Flora and Laura. Walter and Daniel have gone before. Three remain with their mother and uncle Wesley his only surviving brother, to mourn the loss of as kind a husband, father and brother as we have ever known. The neighborhood and church have lost a sound counselor and faithful friend, who had no enemies; was courteous, kind and obliging to all and naturally gained the esteem of all. He became a member of the Church of Christ when he was 14 years of age, and through all the varied vicissitudes of a long and useful career. He has le! ad a charmed life. He was a great lover of the book of Job and read with profound delight that passage where God called on Job to answer him. So he girded himself like a man and answered the Almighty summons with a patience Job might have envied. The wife and daughter who remain at home have te heart felt sympathy of all. O thou comforter of widows and orphans into thy care we commit his loved and loving family. Q SHORT
