BEDFORD MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, DEC. 6, 1901 Matthew Donahue died at Mitchell Sunday morning of paralysis. He was a brother of B. & O. Agent Thomas Donahue, of this city, and "Duffy" Donahue, B. & O. Ticket Agent at Washington, Ind., well known here. Matthew Donahue was an expert telegraph operator, and was employed in Cincinnati. The funeral took place Tuesday forenoon, at Mitchell. ********* Among those who went to Mitchell Tuesday to attend the funeral of Mat Donahue were Mrs. Hugh McGuire, Mrs. P. F. Fitzgibbons, Misses Mamie Murphy, Stacy Burke and Emma Heitger.

BEDFORD MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, NOV. 29, 1901 CENTER OF THE EARTH On Monday the people of Popcorn attended the burial services of John R. Rainbolt, at Louder (Lowder) graveyard. The bereaved family have the sympathy of all, especially the aged mother who has buried two of her children within one week. John Rainbolt died at his home in Oolitic Sunday of typhoid fever and was buried near that place Monday. He leaves a wife and one child and several relatives to mourn his loss. While sitting In an armchair in his office over Coady's drug store, at 9:30 a.m. Monday, engaged in writing a prescription for a patient Dr. John M. Phipps received a fatal stroke of paralysis. He fell backward in the chair leaving the prescription half written and was unconscious and speechless until death, which occurred at 8 o'clock p.m. Funeral of Dr. Phipps the funeral of Dr. John M Phipps who died about 8 o'clock Monday night took place Wednesday, at 2:30 p.m. from the home of his mother, Mrs. Desty Phipps, on West 16th street. Services conducted by Rev. Chadwick and Eld. Franklin. Interment at Beech Grove Cemetery by Oddfellows and Red Men.
Bedford Daily Times Bedford Indiana February 10, 1927 CIVIL WAR VETERAN DIES AT HELTONVILLE Edward Turpin of Heltonville, retired farmer and Civil war veteran died at his home two miles west of Heltonville last night. He was 7* years old and had been in ill health for several week. The funeral will be conducted from the residence at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon and burial will follow at Gilgal. The deceased is survived by his widow, Mary Turpin, several children and one brother.
