She was born April 3, 1905 in Thibodaux, La., to Justin and Leotine Toups Lagard. She married Ed Haverly in 1947 and he died Oct. 10,1954. Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Phillip (Marie) Bouterie, Mrs. George (Bernice) Cluse, Miss Amelia Lagard and Miss Leo Lagard, all of Thibodaux, La.; two Stepsons, Lawrence Haverly, Indianapolis, and Lee F Haverly, Mitchell, and one-stepdaughter, Mary F. Tindall, Savannah, Ga. She was a retired employee of First National Bank in Mitchell, a member of the Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society, a veteran of World War II, and a member of the Grandmother's Club. Surviving with the wife are one son, Brian Bugh of Florence, KY.; one daughter, Christina Burns of Patoka; three brothers: Frank Bugh of Bedford, Richard Bugh of Princeton and Raymond Bugh of Glasgow, Ky. one sister, Mrs. Jean Blackmore of Rockville; and four granddaughters. BEDFORD WEEKLY MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, OCT. 26, 1900 The funeral of Horace Jones, who died Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of his sister, Mrs. John Wilder, on South H street, of tuberculosis of the stomach and bowels, took place Sunday afternoon at their home at 8 o'clock. A short funeral service was conducted by Eld. James Small. The remains were laid to rest in Green Hill cemetery. The deceased had been a resident of Portland, Oregon for some time, where he was a nurse in a religious sanitarium conducted by the Seventh Day Adventists. He had been living in the State of Washington for some time before he came to Bedford several weeks ago.

    3. BEDFORD WEEKLY MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, OCT. 26, 1900 DEATH OF MRS. MARY A. DUNCAN Mrs. Mary A. Duncan died at her home east of Bedford, Saturday night at 9 o'clock, after an illness of several months of heart weakness and other disorders. She was the mother of a large family of whom there are now living: Mrs. Isis Day, Dr. James Duncan, Clay Duncan, William Duncan, Robert Duncan, Coleman Duncan, Miss Nannie Duncan and Mrs. Sallie Duncan, of Bowling Green, Ky. A short funeral service took place at the house Monday afternoon at one o'clock, when the remains were taken to the Leatherwood church, where a funeral service was held and conducted by Rev. James Small at three o'clock. The remains were interred in the cemetery by the church. She was a very intelligent woman, and widely known, and leaves many friends and relatives who will miss her. NOTE: Mary Duncan: 10 April 1829 – 20 Oct 1900
