Fred McGINNIS and wife are visiting relatives near Clayville, Washington county. . Mrs. James HUFF, of Indianapolis, was here on business Monday. . Arthur BRIGHT purchased a fine team of mules near Buddha, valued at $175. . Misses Nova EVANS and May KERN, of Fayetteville, boarded train No. 1 at this place Tuesday, enroute to Odon. . G. C. SMITH and Joe KERN are gathering up all the things left by the Bedford and Williams Road Co, and will ship them to Washington via the Southern Indiana. . Alex ADAMSON hauled some ten or twelve bushels of fine peaches to Bedford Wednesday. . They are said to be the finest that have been on the market this season. . David F. BYERS, while at Elnora attending the Reunion, became very ill and was taken home. He has been in a critical condition but is some better now. . W. E. WRIGHT, of Oolitic, is spending a few weeks here on the river. . White river has been very low and could be easily forded at the Woods' Ferry before the last rain. . All the S. I. boys are looking very cheerful this week on account of pay day.
