BEDFORD WEEKLY MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, AUG. 17, 1900 SPRINGVILLE Editor MAIL: - I wish to call the attention of our citizens to the disgraceful appearance and neglect of our cemetery where sleep the remains of loved dead. The weeds have grown to almost the height of small trees and bear a most disgusting sight. The weeds have not been cut this summer. Can it be possible that we have forgotten those whom we loved so well in life but who now lie sleeping in those little mounds covered with weeds to such an extent that their graves can scarcely be recognized? Let a meeting be called for the purpose of cleaning these sacred grounds, and a committee appointed to make it their business to see that this burial place is kept clean in the future. Remember, we will all be called on to sleep by their side it is only a question of time, and will soon come even to the one that lingers last.
