My husband and I made the trek from Dayton, Ohio to Lawrence County, Indiana on December 6th and spent three wonderful days doing genealogy research and exploring the area. The people who work at the Historical Museum, Genealogical Library, and the Courthouse are a great bunch of people. Thanks to everyone who helped us. We were fortunate enough to see Bedford's Christmas tree lighting and parade while we were there. We took many pictures during the day while we explored and then at night during the Christmas ceremonies. For those of you who have not had the pleasure of visiting this town, you might like to look at some of the places where our ancestors lived. When you get to this link, click on "slideshow" in the upper right corner and just sit back and watch the show. http://buckeye4life.com/gallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=album03&page=1 We also took pictures of several cemeteries and recorded information. I am in the process of placing the cemetery information on my web page. As soon as I am finished (probably after Christmas), I will send another note to the list. Happy holidays everyone! ************************************************** Carolyn Johnson Burns [email protected] http://www.carolynjburns.com Researching: HENDERSON / HOOPINGARNER / McKEGG / REYNOLDS in Lawrence County, Indiana ***************************************************
Thank you Carolyn for sharing your wonderful pictures! It's especially nice for us folks who may never have a chance to visit Lawrence Co. Merry Christmas!
