Listmembers, Would a marriage index exist in Lawrence County to cover the date 24 Dec 1919? Just found out the father of Everett ELLIS, Samuel M. ELLIS, moved to Bedford, IN shortly before Everett's marriage to Tarissa 'Joyce' MINOR of Amboy, IN, on this date in 1919. Wondering if by chance the marriage occurred here? (I have searched in several other possible counties without success.) Any suggestions will be welcome. Thank you for any help you can give, Carol Haywood
Hello Carol....... There is only 2 Lawrence Co., IN Marriage Index books that I know of...... Marriage Books A through G, Marriages 1818 - 1886 and Marriage Books H to M, Marriages 1886 - 1907....... The following ELLIS marriage records are from the Heritage Quest Marriage Index CD...... It does not appear that any of these are yours.......
