Some of my ancestors (Odells) moved from Lawrence County to Greene County, IN, in the early 1800s. I found some of my Lancaster and Dobbins ancestors buried in the small Waggoner/Wagoner (Wollam) Cem, near the Kentucky Ridge and Owensburg, Greene, IN. The cemetery is on the edge of the Crane Naval base and can be seen and reached from the road (Route 58/45). I hope this may be a lead for you. In Bedford, Lawrence County, Indiana( except as noted): Polly Mary Waggoner Born: about 1802 (?Lawrence County) Married: March 1, 1820 to Thomas Denton (born 1798 in Jefferson County Tenn.) Died: before 1838 Their son Fountain Armstrong Denton Born: September 16, 1832 Elbert Evans and Nancy Adamson (residents since?) had a daughter: Arrena Angelina Evans Born: September 23, 1833 She married Fountain Denton in Iowa but both were born in Bedford ,Lawrence County, Indiana. So, it seems I had ancestors living there from before 1820 to about 1845. You're welcome to use any information I have or can locate, but I would appreciate any ideas on how to make sure it's reasonably correct. Also, these folks migrated from Lawrence County, Tennessee to Monroe, Wisconsin to Independence, Iowa during that time so I'd find migration information (general) interesting also.
