BEDFORD WEEKLY MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, DEC. 7, 1900 Bedford 5, Washington 5. The foot ball game at Washington Thanksgiving, between the Bedford and Washington High School elevens, was hotly contested and resulted in a draw, the score being 5 and 5. A large crowd saw the game, but the "rooting" on the part of the Washingtonians was very dirty, as it always is when a visiting athletic club of any kind plays there. Their percentage of ruffianism is larger in a Washington crowd than in that turned out by any other town in the southern part of the State. This statement applies to the spectators, and not to the players.
