Mr. and Mrs. J. B. STIPP and daughter, Sallie, Mrs. Dr. STIPP and Miss Alice POTTER attended the FOSTER-LEE wedding at Erie Wednesday. Thomas WIRES and wife returned to their home in Campbellsburg Monday afternoon, after a pleasant visit in this city with their daughter, Mrs. W. S. MONTGOMERY. A marriage license has been issued to Phillip STOTTS and Lula FLINN. Mr. and Mrs. Charles AKLES, of Trinity Springs, who had been the guests of Mrs. D. L. SHEEKS, returned home Friday. Mrs. Isis D. DAY, of the firm of HODGE, DAY & Co. Undertakers, will answered all calls night or day as attendant for women and children. Gilbert CRANE, grandson of H. T. NIGHTENGALE, who has been in the U. S. Army in Cuba, has been transferred to Virginia, in order that he may attend military school. Mrs. W. W. SMULLEN and daughter, who have been the guests of Frank FUQUA and family, in this city, returned to their home in Muncie Friday morning. John W. MASSEY has several men at work digging up the old Court House sewer on South J street. The sewer is only 15 inches in diameter, and becomes choked occasionally. John T. SASHER and wife left Wednesday for Glade Springs, Va., on a visit to his folks, and from there they will go to Washington, D. C., where they will make their future home. The seven year old daughter of Joseph McBRAYER, who was terribly burned Wednesday morning, by her clothes catching fire from the blaze under a wash-boiler, was reported by Dr. VOYLES to be sinking Thursday; and she will probably die. Little Lori MASTESON, five year old granddaughter of James K. OWENS, was badly scalded on the back one day this week, by falling backward into a boiler of hot water at Mr. OWENS' home. Her injuries are very serious, but there is hope of her recovery. Representative Litina ADAMSON, of Bedford, who attended the conference at the Commercial Club, said today the he was in favor of primary election reform, but he dos not feel certain that it can be accomplished in the coming Legislature. He said that he favored voting machines, and that his constituents in Lawrence country were talking of purchasing them. He favors a registration, but he doubts if a bill making that provision can be passed without an amendment to the constitution. Mr. ADAMSON will have a bill to introduce, but he does not care to disclose it a this time. Indianapolis News.
