    3. BEDFORD WEEKLY MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, NOV. 23, 1900 Star FLINN went to Charleston, Ill., Saturday night, where he will spend a few days visiting friends and relatives. Albert LUEDTKE, our Trustee-elect, was in town a short time last week. Soon as the result of the election was ascertained he returned to Perrysville, Vermillion county, where he is engaged in placing the stone work for a bridge across the Wabash. Albert says there is about one month's work before he is through. – Medora Record. John THOMASSON and Charles GAINES, who, after they were placed in the Reformatory to keep a mob from lynching them at Bedford, confessed that they had murdered Frank LENTZ on the night of July 3, will be taken to Bedford either November 27 or 28 for arraignment before Judged W. R. MARTIN. The fear of violence has subsided. Their attorney, R. N. PALMER, will not, it is thought, ask for a change of venue. He has not indicated what line of defense will be followed. The prisoners have recovered from the effects of their deed, and seldom refer to it. – Jeffersonville Cor. Courier-Journal. August BENZEL went to Louisville Sunday morning to attend the funeral of Mrs. Chas. HUBER, who died at that place Saturday morning. Mrs. HUBER was a sister of Mrs. August BENZEL, deceased. Thomas HARDWICK, of Fayetteville, is attending court at Paoli. E. L.DAVIS was in the city Saturday from Kurtz. Fred NICHOLS was in the city Saturday from Williams. Olin NORMAN, of Heltonville, was in the city Saturday. Eliza SMITH, of Williams, was transacting business here Saturday. Misses May and Jessie BLACKBURN, of Avoca, were in the city Friday. Miss Emma EAST, of Heltonville, was the guest of friends here Saturday. J. P. PHILLIPS, of Heltonville, was transacting business in the city Saturday. Miss Mary LIVELY, of Heltonville, was visiting friends in this city Saturday. Eld. James L. NOBLITT, of Stampers Creek, Orange county, was in town Friday, on his way to Indian Creek, where he preached at the Baptist church Sunday.
