    3. HI A little more info. Robert Dougherty and his wife were on the 1840 census. and they were in township 27. or is that Section 27? they were there in 1830. but I did not find them in 1850. He was listed as over 50 on the 1840 census. Has any one researched Warden P. or Gideon. beleived to be his sons? Has any one came across the graves near town ship 27 of Robert and wife Sarah? possibly he died after 1840. This is not the same Robert that is listed in Orange co. maybe they moved? He would have been over 60 on the 1850 census and his wife's name was also Sarah. In 1840 there were still minor children 2 girls under 10 and 1 boy under 15. all together he had 7 children still at home. Any help any one can give on this family will be so appriciated by me. 3. I hope the answers to your questions are posted to the "whole" list so maybe all of us can get this family straightened out.......they are all part of the same family, that's for sure, but it's our misfortune they all named their kids after their Grandpa, brother, sister, etc.!!!!!! <smile> I have some old Gedcoms that DOUGHERTY people have sent me....I'll have to check them out and see what I come up with. Have errands to run now!
