BEDFORD MAIL FRIDAY JANUARY 14, 1898 Car Thieves Caught A B.& O S.W. detective last Monday arrested four young fellows, all under age, charged with breaking open a freight car at River Vale last Friday night, and stealing thirteen pairs of shoes consigned to W. M. DOBBINS & Son, of this city. Two young fellows named BURTON live at River Vale, and the two others, name PROSSER and MARTIN, live at Mitchell. It is reported that PROSSER succeeded in escaping from the officer. The stolen shoes were all recovered by the detectives.
