    3. BEDFORD WEEKLY MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, NOV. 23, 1900 BETTER ADVERTISE IN A NEWSPAPER. Mrs. Belle DELLAHUNT has filed an unusual suit for damaged against Saks & CO., clothing dealers of Indianapolis. As set out in the complaint, Saks & CO. caused to be placed, a little aside from the public highway, three miles from the city, and partially hidden from view, a huge figure in the form of an elephant –tusks, trunk and all the necessary attachments to give reality to the image. It bore the advertisement of Saks & Co. One morning last September Mrs. DELLAHUNT and her husband were driving to the city, when their horse became frightened as it came suddenly, before the elephant sign. The horse, a spirited animal, reared and plunged and dashed away, overturning the vehicle and throwing Mrs. DELLAHUNT upon a barbed wire fence. She was badly cut and bruised and as claimed, her hip and one side have become permanently paralyzed, She asks for $10,000 damages.
