BEDFORD WEEKLY MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, NOV. 16, 1900 BARN BURNED J. Wes McKNIGHT Suffered a $1,500 Loss Friday Night. J. Wes McKNIGHT, who lives six miles north of town, near the Pleasant Run church, found his big barn was on fire Friday night at 8 o'clock. The barn was about 200 yards from the house, and the fire failed to arouse the family, or any of the neighbors until it was nearly consumed. There had been no fire near the barn that night, and the origin of the fire is a mystery. The barn contained five good cows, four horses, buggies, wagons, implements and a large quantity of feed. The loss is about $1,500 with $650 insurance in the Farmers Insurance Association.
