They find Bedford, with its several railroads, an excellent distributing point; and in addition sell more or less to every retail grocery store in town, with one or two exceptions. It is much more convenient to step to a telephone, order a needed article and have it delivered at the door within 15 minutes free of freight charges, than to wait for a drummer or send in a mail order, wait a week and then pay freight and drayage.
