    3. BEDFORD WEEKLY MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, NOV. 16, 1900 The woolly worm this fall is very black one-third of the way, then a light brown and a black tail. According to prophecy this means that when winter opens it will be very cold the first five or six weeks, then a mild spell of two or three weeks, followed by cold weather the remainder of the time. Paste this in your hat and see how near the worm is right.

    3. BEDFORD WEEKLY MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, NOV. 16, 1900 DOBBINS Bros. have filled both stories of the old opera house building with groceries, and are having a fine wholesale trade. They find Bedford, with its several railroads, an excellent distributing point; and in addition sell more or less to every retail grocery store in town, with one or two exceptions. It is much more convenient to step to a telephone, order a needed article and have it delivered at the door within 15 minutes free of freight charges, than to wait for a drummer or send in a mail order, wait a week and then pay freight and drayage.

    2. Diana S Flynn
    3. BEDFORD WEEKLY MAIL BEDFORD, INDIANA FRIDAY, NOV. 16, 1900 Thanksgiving Services. Thanksgiving services will be observed in all the churches this year. Each preacher will preach a sermon in his own church. This will give a chance for everybody to attend that has a desire to do so. This arrangement it is understood, has been made not on account of any bad feeling existing between the churches, but that it will serve best the ends of all, and probably more money will be raised and more people assemble than would, if there was a union service.
